Monthly Meeting January 2025
We have an last minute change in our lineup for this month's CCREIA meeting! Jay Connor’s presentation will be rescheduled for a later date. About Erik Timmermans
Eight years ago, Erik Timmermans was facing financial struggles when a life-changing suggestion led him to real estate investing. With no capital of his own, Erik learned how to leverage other people’s money (OPM) to launch his career. Today, he is widely known in the Raleigh area as "The OPM Guy," having used over $16 million in OPM to acquire properties.
Fast forward to now, Erik owns an impressive portfolio of 175 rental properties, flips more than 20 properties annually, and has expanded into new construction and out-of-state investments. As a board member of TREIA, Raleigh’s nonprofit real estate meetup, Erik is passionate about giving back to the real estate community. He regularly speaks at meetups across North Carolina, sharing his expertise and helping others succeed in the industry.
